My favorite story this year (my own): the place you call home
My best story this year: Probably my mouth is full of stars.
Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: I don’t know. N/A.
Most fun story: love in fifteen acts. It was just about the only one that wasn’t completely heart-stomping.
Sexiest story: Um. nuclear winter? I guess?
Hardest story to write: I guess all of this should have been, all of this could have been yours, since it had a lot of pieces and a specific endpoint to get to. Most everything I wrote this year came pretty easily, though, since they were all really inspiration-striking sorts of deals. All of the ASOIAF stories went like wildfire. The hardest part was not writing them while I was at work (which...I did not fully accomplish, but I can only assume my office has no screen capture or keystroke recognition software, as I have not yet been fired).
Most unintentionally telling story: Anything featuring Jon Snow (the place you call home, my mouth is full of stars, hands and feet), which were very telling about how I’m super duper in love with Jon Snow.
Most "OHMIGOD HEY *I* WROTE THAT" fanon-turned-canon-moment: the place you call home (in the future). Jon/Sansa. Totally going to happen. Look into it, George.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2010: Ha. Where do I start? Twilight fic, girl/werewolf, spanking, and half-sibling (maybe) incest twice, once with mild bloodplay…big year.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them? See above? I guess I learned that I’m not quite as vanilla a writer as I used to be. I also broke my previous record for number of times the word “cock” is used in a single fic.
